Now this.. is what I call an AD!
This MAN knows what Patriotism is!
THIS MAN EQUALS:
I have to admit, I cringed a bit at first re "The economy is in Shambles" line from the ad.
However, the majority of the country unfortunately *does* believe that. I like to compare the economic numbers now to the economic numbers from October 2006:
Unemployment then - 4.4%, now 5.5%
Inflation then - 2%, now 4%
Gas Prices then - $2.20/gallon, now $4.05
I have found that these three numbers reduce a "Bush's economy is horrible" rant to mere stuttering once they are reminded that the democrats have been in control of Congress for the last year-and-a-half. (And yes, I periodically have to remind people I speak with that the democrats do control Congress).
If this "Economy in a Shambles" line of thinking leads to comparisons with the economy of less than 2 years ago, the mis-informed "independent" electorate may think twice about giving the democrats a stronger hold on power.
I just don't think 4 months is enough time to undo the years of misinformation that has pummelled "normal" people.
